Partners create dataset covering 100 million cells
Parse Biosciences and Nomic Bio partnered to build the Cascade dataset, merging 100 million single-cell RNA-seq profiles with over 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles. The multimodal data captures immune cell reactions to more than 150,000 cytokine and drug perturbation conditions to accelerate drug target discovery.
- Field
- genetics and genomes
- What they did
- Companies Parse and Nomic created the 'Cascade' dataset, containing profiles of 100 million cells that combines RNA and protein data to study the immune response.
- Why it matters
- This dataset will help pharmaceutical partners find and validate new drug targets faster by analyzing how cells react to various treatments.
